Here is our football team practicing today after a big win last night. Not being any kind of trainer, I have no idea what skills are being honed by pushing grocery carts or tossing medicine balls, but whatever it is, it must be working. They are 2-0 in what was supposed to be a building year with a sophomore quarterback. I just wish they'd duck when those medicine balls start landing or I'm afraid the entire team will be on the disabled list.
I agree with Lynne..I was never much for football and don't know anything about American football. but when I was in Germany I enjoyed the way they play football. never went to a game but watched it on the TV
I'm guessing that the shopping carts are loaded with lots of heavy weight to simulate pushing through blockers or stopping an oncoming attacker, and the medicine balls are great for building strength in the muscles you'd use to push a defender away. (There's my totally unprofessional analysis for you.) Great shot!
It's a mobile basketball team, right?! All that workout is going to pay off, and will only be more fun when they have fans there to cheer them on! (Could have kicked myself last night when I realized FA could have been there in the picture... We'll try again in October...)
They are supposed to build up muscles pushing things and tossing medicine balls. I like your photograph. It should be familiar to a lot of families with kids in school. I have grand kids out of school already. So for us the football days are over.
Great shot! It has a very back to school feel to me as football always signaled the return of students and Friday nights spent cheering in the stands or singing the national anthem for the game.
