Looking back on 2010 is easy when I can browse through a picture or 2 for each day. How sharply each day is brought into focus and how vividly I can recall the sensations of that day. I stopped keeping a diary when I was in college. Now I feel I have an even better record of my life. And as I look back on the events of the year I realize that my feelings have been overwhelmingly positive. Did taking the photographs help me appreciate my life or did my optimistic point of view cause me to seek out positive images? I don't know; I just know how blessed I am and how expectantly I look forward to the New Year. I wish you all that same sense of expectancy in 2011.
This is a great way to commemorate the end of the year, Allison! I was talking about my project today and how it has captured events, both big and little, that would be forgotten otherwise. Definitely looking forward to 720!
A very festive photo. Aren't photos wonderful for bringing memories into focus? P.S. I vote for the optimistic point of view bringing the positiive images.
Oh, I just love what you said. I feel the very same way! I think it's a little of both...taking hte photos does help you appreciate your life and notice little things in a whole new way. I think one day, we'll look back and the optimism that has unfolded will shape our memories, too. Happy New Year to you!!!
Happy New Year! I agree that this project has really helped me to remember my days and the senses and just everything about them. It is much better than a journal for that reason. Thank you for always offering such wonderful comments.
Great shot Allison!
I thoroughly agree with all that you wrote.
I do think that 365 is a wonderful outlet for us all & the many friends that we have made along the way have encouraged us all to extend ourselves & think outside the square with our daily photo.
I have been without a reliable internet connection for over a month now, hence I have not been able to upload my photos or look or comment on everyone's wonderful shots.
Happy new year Alison, well done on getting to 100%. I have enjoyed looking at your pictures over the past year, although I do not comment alot, I have enjoyed following you and look forward to seeing your photos in 2011
Congrats on completing the project - I just wish we could put a years worth of photo's in a book so that we can keep it and look back. Thank you for all your encouraging comments and I hope you continue into 2011
@allie912@pfmandeville@hwy61@jmhutnik This is done on picnik, I discovered it by mistake! Open Picnik and go to your library. Open any photo and click 'collage'. Then, go to your 'clips' (top left tab). All the photos will be highlighted. Leave them highlighted and drag one photo over to you collage. They will ALL come over. Cool, huh!
