There were two shoe prints deeply embedded in this sidewalk. There's an old saying, "Fools' names and fools' faces are often seen in public places" Perhaps we should add "fools" shoes" to the quote.
Allison, Sorry to hear about your Sister-In-Law. Pick's disease usually strikes at an earlier age, around the 60's, and it is one that is referred to as a fronto-temporal lobe dementia, affecting the person's ability to control impulses. At some point they take on a blank, emotionless appearance. They can act impulsively, and they do have the potential to become agitated, especially if one tries to encourage them to do something they do not want to do or perhaps do not understand. There is a lot of information on-line about Pick's disease. Often times, depending on how severe the behaviors become, the impulsiveness can be managed better with some mood stabilizer like depakote. Hopefully they have access to a good psychiatrist familiar with the various forms of dementia. That is so important. I would encourage you to check out the various resources on-line. It's a tough one, and one where the individual loses contact with those who love them. The emotions disappear.
