Theodor Seuss Geisel born March 2, 1904; died September 24, 1991. American writer and cartoonist most widely known for his children's books written under the pen names Dr. Seuss. He published 44 children's books which include the bestselling Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hatches the Egg, Horton Hears a Who!, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Our Lower School Head (i.e. the principal of grades kindergarten through 4th grade) wears this great shirt embroidered with sequins every year on Dr. Seuss's birthday. In case you don't recognize him, The figure is The Cat in the Hat in his trademark stove pipe hat. Dr. Hunter was a good sport and modeled for my 365 theme photo. It is so wonderfully sparkly, I think it definitely constitutes Bling.
For one of my education classes we had the chance to help with Dr. Suess Day at an elementary school. We planned a lesson plan around a book by him and presented it to two classes. It was so much fun! :)
Yep, I'd call that bling! Nice! I totally wanted to do a Seuss tribute - had it all dreamed up in my head - I was going to make Truffula trees (from the Lorax) with 2 of my students...never got a chance to stop and buy the materials though. :(

Great shot, I love the shirt.
I recognised the character "The Cat in the Hat", but did not know anything about it :) . Thanks for the information :)
