California dreamin'

I came upon this flower at Marin Country Day School, one of 3 schools we visited this morning. My head is spinning with all the impressions of people, libraries, and countryside. We had breakfast and an interesting lecture on digital literacy at the Branson School, a library tour at Marin, then lunch and a talk from the wine librarian of the Sonoma County public library at Sonoma Country Day School. I took so many wonderful pictures it was hard to choose, but this my theme for today, although, as usual, I have no idea what this flower is.

nice shot! Looks like a bottlebrush...That is the informal name. The official name would be Callistemon...I recently posted a photo of this! :)
