A day of traveling left no time for posting so here I am on Sunday morning looking through my 400+ photos and thinking about the many experiences I had in San Francisco. Much of what I take away are library ideas that i doubt would interest the 365 audience but the beauty of the countryside has universal appeal. Here are garden images from the school and public gardens, as well as the vineyards we visited. Notice the California poppies in the upper right and the artichokes growing right below. The flower in the upper left is Pride of Madeira and the lower right is part of a wisteria vine. You can see the grape vines beginning to leaf in the bottom center. Those white flowers are common in offices here in Virginia but they were growing in a flower bed at the Katherine Delmar Burke School. This is only a small portion of the plant photos I have. The theme of the conference was how green San Francisco is in terms of being environmentally friendly, but it also describes the beautiful surroundings we visited.
Its nice to see some beautiful Spring flowers again. not very colorful here yet..we have only 40 degree with high winds and ssnow rain showers. the only floweri in bloom is the crocus and a tiny blue one she name escaped me just now.
