Where are the Men?

This is about half the members of the musical group that sings at the contemporary service at our church. You'll notice there are no male musicians performing. That's because they are all off at The Men's (and sons) New River Trip. Never having been there myself, I can only repeat the description in the weekly newsletter "A weekend away at New River’s Edge in SW Virginia. About 20 minutes past the VA Tech stadium, it’s a great place to hang out, kayak, canoe, fish, play games, eat and relax." Even our minister went.
This morning one of the little girls circulated a paper with suggestions for a Women's Week End. What do you think--beach, mountains or garden?

Surprised they didn't already have a women's wekend planned too! I vote for a mountain weekend with some hiking, canoeing, fishing...oh, wait...were they staying in tents? If so, I vote for the beach!

too cute. I just spent the weekend chaperoning middle schoolers in a retreat. They just wanted to swim and eat S-mores.

I always vote for the beach!!! Love the sun, expanse of the ocean and lots of time to reflect while reading God's Word. If the water's warm, I'll swim in the ocean, but if not, just give me a comfy chair, a blanket to bundle up in, and an interesting book and I'll be snug as a bug in a rug!
