For those of you wondering about what happened to yesterday's abandoned couch, I walked by again today to investigate further. All was as before, with the addition of this hand-lettered sign. I'll let you know tomorrow if the invitation bore fruit. Let's hope no afternoon thunderstorms, so common in Virginia in July, come rolling through to spoil their advertising campaign.
Update: Just back from my walk, and the couch was gone. The power of advertising!
this would make a great prop for portraits! we have these old couches sitting out like this too sometimes, and i always wonder if anyone ever partakes.
Nice to follow the journey. Hope it is loved in its new home. Re: tripod. I don't always carry a tripod though I think to get the best shots one probably should. Since I was with a friend who is a good sport "we" carried it. I wanted tot ry a shot that was similar to one I saw in a magazine and I wanted to try the same settings to compare the results. That meant a tripos was needed due to shutter speeds making it best.
No wonder someone took it - it now has a new home :)
