I took a less traveled path on my search for pictures this afternoon and look what I found! Why someone would keep a bathtub in their backyard, I couldn't say. The title comes from an old TV commercial in the U.S.Here it is if you want to see it for yourself : http://tinyurl.com/3kuoqlp
I love the fact that you followed Frost's advice and found this tub. And this made me think of my elementary library. Being a librarian, you might enjoy hearing this. We had a tub in our library. It was full of pillows and all that and stuffed animals. We could climb in it and read a book. I wonder if someone is going to plant flowers in it...someday? Just guessing. I have enjoyed your walks with the camera!
Ha ha- great find. It sort of looks like a clawfoot bathtub without the claws- maybe it's waiting for its feet before it goes in rather than beingon the way out. Anyway- we once had a bathtub in the basement of a home we rented in which we kept our fishpond fish and plants through the winter. Great shot!!
Interesting for sure. Great find. I don't think flowers are necessary for it to fit in to the yard. Looks good just the way it is....a conversation piece.
@mrssmith My pre-school had a reading tub full of pillows where us kids could climb in and curl up with a good book. It's a great idea, isn't it?
I've seen tubs and sinks buried in gardens in the UK to be used as beds for flowers / herbs / vegetables etc. Considered very art deco by some !!
You do spot some good and unusual subject Allison
