Now what? by allie912

Now what?

I firmly believe there is no such thing as a squirrel-proof bird feeder, but I'm not sure if this fellow has figured out the next step in his assault plan.
Ha - I bought a "squirrel' proof" bird feeder too. Just two days later they'd sussed it out and helped themselves....! I'm sure this little guy will figure it out too! Cool pic!

They sure are persistent little devils, aren't they?

This is truly funny, but so true! I have a birdfeeder that is as squirrel proof as you can get without putting weird things over the top of it. But they still like to climb on it and give it a try every now and then. After I get tired of shooing them off, I grease the pole with vaseline - that's when the amusing entertainment begins!

Fun photo, Allison! I have a "squirrel proof" feeder that seems to work best. They will still try to climb the pole (without success)....but then the rascals finally figured out if they get on top of the feeder bin and shake it just a bit some seed will fall to the ground. Some neighbors have gone thru the trouble of stringing feeders on wires from tree to tree but no way I would attempt that project ;-)

A great capture of this little guy

LOL I agree. I'm only using wooden feeders because I'm tired of replacing the others.
Good capture.

the contents and feeder look like niger seeds allison........they have special feeders for these seeds due to how tiny they are ...:)

how funny! I never get squirrels on my feeders because apparently they don't like nyjer seed. I do get plenty of finches, an occasional house sparrow, and ground doves & mourning doves.
