It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Even though it didn't feel like Christmas, with temperatures in the 70's, the Christmas tree lots are popping up like mushrooms after a rain. This tree has been carried home tightly bound and will probably be left in a bucket of water while its branches relax. I don't imagine it will be brought into the house for several weeks, but I guess this family figured they would get the best of the lot by going early.
I hate to see trees cut for this and then discarded but I guess tradition wins out.

It is starting to look like Christmas. I'd like for the snow to wait.

Yes, everything is beginning to light up around us, but in a few short weeks it will all be over.

Excellent photo in black and white, I like your framing, too.

Nice capture and great reflections. Thankfully not too many trees are up here yet, outside of shopping centres at least.

Great capture of a Christmas tradition...despite your no snow and 70 degree temperatures! Tradition lives on!

The black and white gives this such a vintage feel. If it weren't for the auto (oh, those reflections are terrific, BTW) you'd think this was photographed in the 40s or 50s. Nice!

Always seems a bit early for a real tree in November. In forty one years of marriage we have only had two real trees.

The poor tree looks very "trussed"

We're not in the 70's but it's been a bit milder for November. I saw some trees at Walmart the other day and really wanted to pick one up, but I still don't know where we're going to be on Christmas so, I held back. It'll be time to make plans this weekend. Nice shot.
