In Appreciation

Yesterday I referred to one of our Lower School science teachers in my theme entry. Today I want you to see how my school has honored her. Anyone, whether faculty or staff, who has been at Collegiate more than 30 years is given a plaque to be hung outside the room in which they work. This includes administrators, maintenance staff, and kitchen workers as well as teachers. In this age of job-switching and the quest for the newest, it is refreshing to see appreciation for experience. Teachers like Mrs. Stultz have a wealth of knowledge to share, but at the same time, they represent the model of the Life-Long Learner.
This is wonderful! Congrats to Mrs. Stultz!

It really is a rare achievement, and it's nice to see that your school recognizes their dedication. And I think it's awesome that they do this not only for teachers but the rest of the staff that helps keep the school running smoothly.
