A group from Collegiate has traveled to Philadelphia for a week end conference at an innovation science high school. During the day we visited classes at the school. Tonight we are at a panel discussion with some of the brightest and the best talking about How to sustain innovation. The pictures show the view from my hotel room. The young man in the middle is a junior who acted as our tour guide. Notice the library at the bottom. Not many books, right? The school, housed in an old office building is only 6 years old, but more importantly, I think much of the learning at this school comes digitally.
another classic allison collage :) are the bare bookshelf's a bit disheartening for a librarian or do you embrace it as just a change of culture and the new way ?
Oh yes, good point. NMow days, much of the learning is digital. I think the young people are going to lose the joy of holding and enjoying the feel of a book.
