It was Career Day in First grade and here you see two artists, a baseball player, an explorer, a veterinarian, a construction worker and a combination librarian/scientist. It would be fun to have a crystal ball and see what path they actually take.
It is interesting to see where life takes you. When I was in high school they would have those singled out in our class to be the most likely to succeed, etc. Unfortunately, the class I was in was filled with what I termed "snobs" and unless you were an "A" student, you just didn't belong. That is one reason I dislike school so much. I was a strong "C" student. Once I graduated I didn't go to the reunions, but 2o years later, it was interesting going to my first class reunion, only to find out, many of the snobs were still snobs, and many who were chosen to be the most successful, oh my, they were just plain old folk, not going anywhere really in a career. Life is full of Karma they say. I am enjoying life, and doing well as a strong "C" student.
@digitalrn High school and its repercussions have spoiled the pleasures of life for many people. It is good that you were able to see for yourself has meaningless those high school labels were.
Like the way they're dressed for the job..just wonder how often they change their minds in the course of their schooling..my granddaughter studied journalism and then switched over to Psychotherapy...after that she just took off for a years and works now in a insurance company..she was chosen out of 100 applicants. I bet after the year is finished she'll go back to more studying.
