1937

It was so hot in Richmond today (103) that i never left the air-conditioned comfort of my home. So here is a picture from our visit in Florida. On a walk with Maddie we found this exotic statue in a neighboring street. Since the house was very unassuming, the royal guardian is especially ludicrous. Actually, as I study him more closely, I think it is a statue of one of the Wise Men, which means the address here is 1937 Manger Way.

Either that or he belongs with Aladdin and the Arabian Nights! But I think you're right- he looks more like one of the Wisemen bearing gifts. Cute shot!

@Weezilou Thank you for the compliment. There are definitely strong genes in our family. I showed Maddie a picture of her aunt, my daughter Meg at age 4, and Maddie thought it was a picture of her but wondered where it was taken!

Maddie is adorable. She reminds me a bit of my 6 yr old granddaughter Hope who has the same hair and expression. One never knows what one will find in one's yard ...LOL. Too funny and so appropriate for the address.
