Jud Christian Bridge by allie912

Jud Christian Bridge

This is just a sample of what we saw today, taking a self-guided tour around Montour and Columbia Counties in Pennsylvania. We spent the morning tracking down 10 bridges. When I get home, I will share some others with you. This particular one was built in 1876 for a cost of $239 and is in near perfect condition. I picked this photo with the truck crossing it to show that the bridge is still in use.
I love covered bridges and this is a great capture. Thanks for the history!

Wow... $239. I bet it cost at least $539 to be built today.

I love to see covered bridges in use. I've driven through a nice one in Woodstock, VT but I fear it might have been damaged in the floods last year.

Amazing pov ...looks so scenic! I can imagine how beautiful this is in the Fall with all the foliage and color! I would get a shot of this in all four seasons, if possible. Lovely bridge!
