Power to Spare

I couldn't resist capturing this picture from the twin bridges. Out in the middle of nowhere, on the wall of the West Paden Bridge was this row of half a dozen electical outlets. I am trying to picture 6 laptops plugged in or 6 cell phones or maybe 6 vacuum cleaners, but nothing seems too credible. Any suggestions?

Very odd. The only thing I can think of is using power equipment to clean off dust and other weather-related dirt, bugs, etc. off the bridge when needed.....but why 6 outlets? Would be interesting to find out. Fun discovery.

I wonder if they close them up and have a festival in them. They may also need them to string Christmas lights.

Allison the only explanation which makes sense is for maintenance purposes, but why 6 of them is beyond me. or for a electrical car to charge up when stuck on the bridge...joking.

Leaf blowers in fall- but 6 is probably overkill! Or maybe they decorate it with Christmas lights in December?
