A teacher left her class waiting outside the library so she could alert me that there was a frog on the library window. I grabbed my camera and was delighted to see this little guy clinging to the tippy top of the wall of windows. Unfortunately I couldn't get a very good angle on him, so I took matters into my own hands and dislodged him. I got a number of interesting pictures, then, feeling concern that the concrete sidewalk was not his natural habitat, I took him across the patio to the mulched beds of flowers and bushes, where he eagerly hopped away. When I showed my photos to my garden expert, she did some research for me. Now I know he is not an albino frog as we originally guessed, but a Common Grey Tree Frog. The interesting fact I learned is that he is nocturnal and only comes down from his leafy home at night to sing and breed. So I ask you, what was he doing outside the library in midmorning? The best I can come up with is he was having trouble falling asleep and was looking for a good book.
Loved your story, Allison and glad you were able to get a great shot of him in his natural habitat. Keep a watch out for him....they are usually regulars unless a victim of prey or a car. Thanks, btw, for the fav on the willow shot. ;-)
