My colleague Susan has always liked the idea of the traditional library lamps that one sees in great old academic libraries. With that in mind, she brought this lamp from home. In addition to spreading a soft glow on the books, this lamp has the added feature of incorporating an electric meter into its design. You can actually see the wheel turn as the kilowatts are recorded!
