A trip (pun unintended) to Patient First this morning after a night of pain and no reduction in the swelling of my foot. After studying my x-rays, the doctor thinks I have a break in the metatarsal. The bad news: a splint and crutches. The good news: since it happened at school, it is being filed as workman's comp. This is my first experience with crutches and I am feeling clumsy and awkward. Also humble, as all my weekend plans are of necessity put on hold. Oh well, what is the saying, "Life is what happend when you have made other plans."?
So, so sorry. Take real good care of yourself! I only had crutches once back in the 60s when we lived in a two story house with the bathroom upstairs and 2 babies, newborn and 17 months. Talk about misery. I hope you're not in pain.
So sorry to hear that your fall turns out to be worse than you expected! Do your best with those crutches- you don't want to make something else worse by not using them. Hang in there!
Oh shame Allison - sorry to hear your 'ouchy' news....I've so buried in work I haven't kept up to date with other people's post. Hope you get all the attention you need so that you'll be hopping on both legs soon. ;)
oh allison i missed this !!!!!! I hope you are feeling better soon...we english say 'back on your feet soon' .....when we are hoping someone gets better soon....i hope 'back on your feet' is seen as a corny pun !!! Phil :) x

And glad that you can still make fun of the situation.
