I returned to school for my last two classes, just to get my feet wet, so to speak. I'm glad I didn't stay any longer. I was exhausted, lugging that heavy boot around. When my last class of the day showed up I discovered one of the girls was in the identical boot! She had had a kick ball accident. We compared notes...and boots. Since I've been injured I am aware of so many people with crutches, walkers, casts, boots and canes. I guess everyone should have this experience to sensitize them to the concept of disability.
"Fun" (relatively speaking) shot. Having several friends with disabilities in one form or another, is enough sensitivity training for me. I don't think I need the boot!
@sarasdadandmom On the job injury. Broken bone in my foot kept me out of school for a week and in a boot for at least 3 more. My albums for the last week tell the story.
I so agree. I think so many take walking & use of legs for granted. How coincidental to find someone in the same 'boat' or should I say 'boot'? Clever shot, Allison and take good care!
