The Little Cactus That Grew by allie912

The Little Cactus That Grew

I bought this cactus at the grocery store about 4 years ago. It came in a teeny tiny plastic pot with a suction cup with directions to stick it on your car dashboard. Since it appeared to require minimal care, I decided it was unlikely to suffer in my keep. The original plant is the stalk on the right, but as you can see by keeping it on my office window sill and watering it once every few weeks, it has doubled in size and I have had to repot it. I like its quiet determination. I wonder how big it will finally become.
Lovely capture of that cactus. They really good plants for indoors.

I love those plants and they are usually a hearty plant , but I have managed to kill mine somehow. I think to much water.

@sarasdadandmom That is a real danger. I have killed several hardy plants that way. This time I got smart and added sand to the potting mix. Not much chance of water staying around too long.

I'm a little envious of anyone who can keep a plant alive, even a cactus. How nice it must be to keep one alive for such a length of time!
