Posting early in case the high winds I hear outside lead to downed power lines and loss of electricity. I was able to connect to the library server from home and order new books for the collection, using library review publications. Then at 2 PM they shut down the school network as a precaution so that ended my workday. I did get a chance to finish John Grisham's new legal thriller, The Racketeer. I'd give it a B-. First half pretty good, then his writing got very sloppy.
Glad you were able to get a bit of work done. All of the schools in our county were closed today, and the school I work at will be closed tomorrow as well. I feel like a lazy bum having been in my pajamas for most of the day, haha.
I love children's literature! I am always on the lookout for great kids' books to read.
Waiting it all out here too. Lost electric three times, but only for a few moments, still long enough to knock out the pilot light on our gas water heater, and of course rebooting the computer. Frustrating!
What a frightening time for you all , I have been watching the news seeing the devastation the storm has caused ,Do hope it is not too bad were you are Allison ,and you stay safe at home
