This song by Irving Berlin immediately came to mind when I took this picture.
Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
I'm there to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing
...
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one.
And they are just as sweet as they look in this portrait.
How sweet....I.love your portrait shot of these 2 cuties. I have fond memories of this song. My mother and her sister were very close and she always told me this was her favorite song & although my mom wasn't one for singing, she would always sing this for me when I was young. Sadly her sister passed away at the young age of 30. My mother at age 101, still talks about her all the time
