One last picture of visiting author Mac Barnett taken last Wednesday. Since the kids are still chattering about his visit, I thought it would be suitable to post this today. Here you see Mac looking dashing in his tweed cap and third grader Henry whose signature look is the same cap with a harmonizing sports jacket. Henry is holding Mac's latest picture book, Count the Monkeys, which has a publication date of June 25. To the delight of our kindergarten and first grade students, they were the very first to hear this story read aloud. And what a receptive audience they were!
