Can you believe all the school systems of central Virginia officially overreacted and closed school today due to the THREAT of snow beginning mid afternoon? By evening this is all that had accumulated on our patio. I loved having a day off but I did feel like a wuss. And probably tomorrow, when roads are icy and actually hazardous, no one will want to make the same mistake, and we'll all be expected to show up.
I would not want to be the one to make that call for schools. Our administrator didn't make the call once and it backfired, then the next time he made the call and shouldn't have. I suppose it is better to err on the side of caution.
