On the first day of Spring, I found a display of fruit outside The Fresh Market, an upscale grocery store in the neighborhood. According to the sign, these are Sumo Mandarins. I've never tasted one and I don't know if the flavor is anything special, but they sure have an unusual skin. Too much time in the sun, perhaps.
