These Second Graders are learning to code, using a program that enables them to direct their computer to complete specific tasks. Our technology teachers firmly believe every student needs to become proficient at analytical thinking, not because of the demands of a future career, but because it is an aspect of being well educated. From the expressions on the faces of these boys and girls, you can see how engaged they are in the challenge this activity provides.
I'm glad to see critical thinking is used in many different disciplines in your school. I can't tell you how many people I meet that are totally lacking in it! Nice collage!
