The parent of a Collegiate student brought a battery-powered lawnmower, similar to the robotic vacuum Roomba, to demonstrate its capability as a daily lawn care tool. Weighing only 40 pounds, it can cover a good-sized lawn without requiring supervision or fuel. By marking off the area with a cable (above left) placed underground, the device will stay away from obstructions like the sculptures in the pictures.
