Early Spring

John and I took advantage of a special week end travel program through which visitors to a number of local museums and historic sites get free admission. This afternoon we visited the Branch Museum of Architecture housed in what was once a private home, the largest in Richmond. Built in 1916 in the style of a Tudor estate, it is now used to host classes, workshops and lectures as well as competitions and exhibits. The grounds are not extensive, but they are a lovely oasis in the middle of the city.
