This Second Grader was chosen to announce this month’s DEAR Time (Drop Everything and Read) over the PA system. The announcement is always a surprise to the students, although the teachers get advanced warning.This morning for 20 minutes, the whole school stopped whatever it was doing, and everyone got out a book for some relaxed silent reading. It is a nice way to start or end the week, or, come to think of it, anytime in between.
