For several weeks this bungalow in the neighborhood has sported the billboard from a construction company. More recently a demolition permit was added. Then today I happened to walk by when the actual tear-down had begun. I thought the owners were just renovating, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole structure is going to be replaced by a McMansion.
Oh no! That looks like a pretty house that could have been renovated. We have the same thing going on in our neighborhood. The 60-year-old charming and quirky little bungalows are being replaced by 2-story McMansions towering over their neighbors. Nice collage.
@allie912 I agree. When we sold our 40-year-old house a few years ago, people kept saying we should update it. And I thought, we should update the wiring, the ac unit, etc., but if we update everything, it will lose its character.
