What a fun way to kickoff the new year. All kinds of folks gathered in the parking lot of the natural foods store at the western end of Carytown. At noon they launched their parade led by a Grand Marshall with a drum. The theme of the 12th annual Cone Parade is Clarity of Vision but the flavor was pure joy, fun and creativity. Yoda, Cone-on-the-cob, 2 Hershey’s kisses, Mt. Vesuvius, Abraham Lincoln, pizza slices, a pink unicorn, and a whole host of other characters real and imaginary, paraded through Carytown on this bright and sunny day. Happy New Year to all!
