Walking by the neighborhood fire station, I love to see the fire truck, doors ajar, ready to go in an instant. When John fell, the fire fighters came like the superheroes they are, and (although it took 3 of them) they had him up and back in his spot on the couch in no time. They were out the door in a flash, and I was tempted to exclaim, “Who was that masked man?” like the villagers asked as The Lone Ranger rode off.
@kjarn The EMT are right behind them as needed. I think it is a judgment call by the 911 dispatcher after she gets info from the caller. If it is a simple lift, insurance isn’t involved and it gives the fire station a chance to practice their response.
