Ready for Action

Walking by the neighborhood fire station, I love to see the fire truck, doors ajar, ready to go in an instant. When John fell, the fire fighters came like the superheroes they are, and (although it took 3 of them) they had him up and back in his spot on the couch in no time. They were out the door in a flash, and I was tempted to exclaim, “Who was that masked man?” like the villagers asked as The Lone Ranger rode off.
I’ve called them several times for my mom and my husband. They are amazing.

Interesting that the fire brigade respond for a fall, here it would be the ambulance.

@kjarn The EMT are right behind them as needed. I think it is a judgment call by the 911 dispatcher after she gets info from the caller. If it is a simple lift, insurance isn’t involved and it gives the fire station a chance to practice their response.

@phil_howcroft I’m not sure I shared that info. After all, I didn’t take any pictures!
