“We are pleased to invite you to the Corporate Work Study Program's Morning Mixer. Casual conversations with Cristo Rey Richmond High School students that will help them build upon their interpersonal relation skills.”
Cristo Rey Richmond is part of a network of schools that gives opportunities to students from economically disadvantaged families. For many they will be the first to attend college. The school sets a goal of 100% of their students going to college. The seniors I chatted with were poised, articulate and enthusiastic. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to learn a bit about their lives. I feel confident they will do well in college and beyond.
