The library is an integral part of summer programs at my school. I'm the storyteller for the day camp which explains the 3 year olds on the bottom left. And I'm a resource for the "Hooked on Books" reading camp. Yesterday Kate Hall, author of a children's book "Richmond Rocks" came to camp to share her book and talk about writing. The kids were fascinated. IThe book focuses on famous historic sites in downtown Richmond. A great souvenir for a child visiting or a grand daughter far away. (And yes, I bought a copy for my grand daughter in Florida.)
I really like this collage. I just LOVE to see kids reading instead of just mindlessly doing electronic game stuff.
Its also a great thing to teach children about the wonders of their own hometown.
