Someone has been tacking up posters in our neighborhood for some wacko political organization. In case you can't read it, the sign says "A police state control grid is being established in the United States" I read the sign, shook my head and walked on. Two blocks down the street I happened to notice the surveillance camera affixed to the light pole. This was in the middle of a quiet residential street so I don't believe iIt was a traffic camera. You know what they say, "Just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you."
Allison, it's a thought provoking image and interesting to see peoples reaction to it. Well done for posting and well done for making us all think !
Here in the UK most cities and towns have lots of CCTV's on the streets in the centre of the city or town. People in the UK seem to accept them and to a certain extent they have helped cut down crime.
Even in our suburb of Nottingham we have CCTV on our High Street.
In all actuality, we would probably be surprised at how much they can actually monitor us in the public view, but some people go nuts with their paranoid ideation. Some of our cities have installed cameras to deter some of the crime.
