My attention was drawn to the bright spot of color caught in the branches. Funny how the birthday greeting is upside down. Does that mean the balloon was descending when it landed in the tree? I wonder how far it had traveled. Or maybe some birds were celebrating. I guess we'll never know the whole story.

The balloon looks quite new too me, because it has not deflated much, so my theory is that it has not been there long. I just hope there isn't a child crying somewhere for a lost present !
