The earth's a big blue marble
When you see it from out there
The sun and moon declare
Our beauty's very rare
Folks are folks and kids are kids
We share a common name
We speak a different way
But work and play the same
We sing pretty much alike
Enjoy spring pretty much alike
Peace and love we all understand
And laughter we use the very same brand
Our differences our problems
From out there there's not much trace
Our friendships they can place
While looking at the face
Of the big blue marble in space
There was a children's television show from the early 70's called The Big Blue Marble, but the song i have in my head is not the theme from that show. Is this perhaps from Sesame Street?
I just googled the first stanza (I think that's the right word), and it is from the show The Big Blue Marble according to google. great picture and song. How did you suspend this?
@weshook I just cleared up my confusion by humming the tune I had in my head to the music teacher who knew instantly that the song I was thinking of is "My Pretty Planet." The sentiment is similar but it is not from a children's show at all, whereas the lyrics above are as you noted from the tv show "Big Blue Marble" Glad to get that sorted out!
@weshook The blue ball appears to be floating because I used the cloning tool in Picnik to remove the cord from which it hangs. Thanks for asking. I was pleased with my trickiness!
