Every profession has its honors and awards. There are trophies and plaques, statues and certificates, but I don't think any thing made of silver or gold could hold greater value than this note handed to me, tightly folded, by a second grader as she left the library last week.
And I'm sure every teacher reading this has a similar story to tell.
Awww....that is so wonderful. Be prepared for an onslaught of notes. I got your package today and the kids immediately go to work making thank you cards. Thank you so much!
So heartbreakingly sweet--I kept every note my two daughters ever gave me, and they still tear me up. And I'm really glad I kept them, because now that they're older, they don't express such sentiments. But those children's notes tell me I did do a great job, as does your children's note. Congratulations on the best award in the world.
