My husband said I should caption this "Walter Mitty" after the James Thurber character who lived through his day dreams. This high powered behemoth resides in the flat suburban neighborhood where i live. It's about as far removed from the African veldt as you could possibly be. Some people can afford to live their fantasies.
Maybe they read the book Jumanji and feared the worst. Or maybe someone just wanted a big boy toy to play with! You've captured a very comical aspect of the American (consumer) dream. A winch! What are they expecting to pull out of the mud, an elephant? (o:

I LOVE your husband's suggestion! Walter Mitty is a story that I teach in my classes. haha! This is a great capture.
