Ἀφροδίτη τῆς Μήλου

Better known as the Venus de Milo. Or perhaps it might make you think of a Hemingway novel, "A Farewell to Arms" . (A little literary humor) Actually I found this little model of the ancient Greek statue in an untended garden. It is only about 18 inches high but if you squint and look at it sideways, you might imagine yourself on the Aegean island of Milos.
Great catch :)

Nice eye, and I think I can hear the roaring of the ocean's waves crashing against the rocks.

This is very nice, but if I was going to return to a Greek island, it would either be Rhodes or Mykonos. Especially Mykonos- lovely little chapels, pristine white stucco homes and beautiful windmills! Lovely Venus.

@olivetreeann Having never been to the Greek Isles, I will just have to depend on my day dreams!

@allie912 I was very blessed to have the ability to go while in seminary- a Footsteps of Paul study trip. Lots of sight seeing and LOTS of note taking! But definitely an amazing trip given to me by a anonymous benefactor.
