Looking in the window of the museum gift shop, I fell in love with this homage to Elvis Presley. Elvis is currently starring in a photography exhibit. As described on the museum website, "Fifty-six dramatic black-and-white photographs taken by Alfred Wertheimer in 1956. The photographs feature Elvis Presley on the brink of international superstardom — including intimate images taken in Richmond. " We had previously toured that show and, since photography wasn't allowed, I have not shared images from that museum visit. This display though captures the fun of the Presley show. And to participate more fully in the excitement of Elvis, here he is singing on The Ed Sullivan Show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOvUdZgl7vo
How cute, I hate to date myself but Elvis last performed in Indianapolis. I was working security at the downtown Hilton and spent all night keeping girls off his floor. Like the glasses on this dog. LOL
It sounds like a fascinating display. It has been a long time since we have done any touring of museums, or even toured anything. I think we may need to begin doing some more fun things in life besides working all the time.
I know a lot of people were crazy over him, but I was never one of those people. This however is a really cute shot, and I might get a little giddy over a Basset Hound.
