I fell in love with this photograph by Edouard Boubat. Boubat was born in Montmartre, Paris in 1923. He studied typography and graphic arts at the Ecole Estienne, and then worked for a printing company before becoming a photographer after WWII. He took his first photograph in 1946.
I love the lines and high contrast in this picture, but the best part is the boy in the foreground looking back at someone while a mix of emotions plays across his face. Best seen with the magnifier.
It is an amazing photograph, and even more amazing to me is how the children are dressed to be out in the snow. The one little fellow even has shorts on.
