This baby bird was trying to get its act together to start flying. Meanwhile the mother was singing loudly from a nearby tree. I'm sure she was shouting encouragement, and it must have worked because the next time I looked, baby had disappeared.
Nice capture! It looks like a Carolina Wren- and when you say the mama was singing loudly, that sounds like a Carolina Wren. Such tiny little bird but it makes a racket!! Sometimes their song sounds like "Tea party, tea party, tea party tea" or "It's raining, it's raining". I don't know if you remember what it sounded like, but if you hear it again and that's what it sounds like, that's what it is! If it sounds like a whirring or churring kind of sound, it could be the Bewick's Wren which looks almost the same as the Carolina, but is a little browner on the breast. Good shot.
