This afternoon I attended a Richmond Area Independent School Librarians (RAISL) meeting at St. Catherine's School. Here is a view from the St. Catherine's Lower School Library. Although my school has 3 librarians in each library, most independent school librarians are not so lucky and often work in isolation. I can't tell you what a treat it is to get together with other professionals and talk over issues and ask questions. We had a very productive meeting and are already looking forward to the next one in January, to be held in my library.
