The Ashmolean is an amazing collection of natural history and art. I spent several hours wandering among the impressionist painters, the history of coins, Roman statuary, Egyptian mummies and these skulls of the earliest Europeans. It was quite startling to come upon these grinning heads Ina darkened room.
