Julie and I had lunch at Portico, a charming restaurant that has been through several formats and owners. Originally it was called The English Garden and had a profusion of beautiful flowers bordering the outdoor seating area. In its current reincarnation the garden has expanded to include vegetables, and the summer squash bisque I selected originated right here in these raised beds. What a treat!
