Here is what I learned about him on the web. Born in 1988 and based in Baltimore, Gaia has been identified as a rising star in the art world, with solo exhibitions in New York City; Los Angeles; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; San Francisco; Miami; Baltimore; and Seoul, Korea. His name derives from the Greek designation for “earth goddess,” and he uses animal imagery to underscore his interest in bringing nature to urban landscapes.
The more I explore these urban artists, the more I realize how fortunate the city of Richmond is that members of the community had the vision to bring them to our city.
