The art teachers have begun a campaign to collect bottle caps of every color. They began the drive in January and will continue until May when a visiting artist comes for a week. The goal is to have enough of these caps to create a mosaic. The students will screw them on to plywood into designs of their own creation. I'm sure I will have a follow up of the finished product in May, but right now I just love the look of this rainbow of colors.
What I find amazing is how it was I never noticed the amazing assortment of colors in same-sized caps! Like you, I love these just for the splashiness of them all!
(Saw "Tim's Vermeer"...an astounding project! We couldn't stop talking about it over dinner afterward! A must-see...you'd love it!)
@Weezilou Exactly my reaction! How could I not have realized how many beautiful colors were used for bottle caps! As for Tim's Vermeer. I checked and it is not playing anywhere in Richmond. I must have been asleep at the switch when it was being shown. I definitely want to see it. Guess I'll have to wait for On Demand.
